Breeding collaborations
Knuthenborg Safaripark actively participates in both national and international collaborations among zoological gardens, wildlife parks, and aquariums.
These collaborations are formalized through associations of many institutions working with animals. The idea behind these partnerships is that by working together, we are stronger and have a better foundation to protect endangered species from disappearing.
Knuthenborg Safaripark is a member of:
- DAZA: Association of Danish Zoological Gardens and Aquariums
- EAZA: European Association of Zoos and Aquariums
- Species 360
- EEP: European Endangered Species Programme – European collaboration for breeding endangered species through EAZA.
To become a member, applicants must undergo an evaluation process to ensure they meet the membership requirements.
