A water lover with eyes in the back of its head
The Siberian tiger is the world's largest cat.
Due to its large size, the tiger is not the fastest cat. Only on 1 out of 10 hunts is there a payoff on the prey.
Tigers are solitary, which means they live alone and are extremely territorial. They do not encroach on each other's territories unless there is a female in heat.
The tiger has another set of “eyes” on the back of its ears. If you look closely, you can see the white markings, which resemble eyes, and are used to scare off intruders.
Although the tiger is part of the cat family, they are quite fond of water. The tiger loves to swim and bathe.
See the tigers from the Boardwalk at Tigerskoven.
