All ordered camp menus simply require light preparation on either a grill or in the camp's kitchen before serving.
4 good things to know about staying overnight in Knuthenborg
In all our camps you will find a fully equipped kitchen with kitchen utensils, refrigerator, electric hobs, toaster and kettle. You will also find soft pillows and warm duvets - linen can be purchased, so you do not have to bring anything from home. The camp includes toilet paper, kitchen roll, dishcloths and tea towels as well as hand and dish soap. The camps can accommodate up to 6 people. The houses can accommodate up to 4 people. There is also a high chair and travel cot in all camps - bring your own linen and duvet for this.
There will always be animals in the area where you are going to stay overnight. Our animals have plenty of space to walk on, and they can decide for themselves where in the facility/plain they want to stay. In the summer season, all our animals are outside around the clock. In case of, for example, severe weather, in periods of low temperatures, in case of illness in the herds or other acute situations, it may happen that some animals are not out in the large area. That a particular animal is not out does not entitle to a discount on the stay.
Knuthenborg after closing time is an experience in itself. When the last day guest has left the park, you have it all to yourself. Explore Dinosaurskoven, experience the elephants in their stable and learn more about skin and bones at our special evening presentations. Our skilled evening hosts take you behind the scenes when you can get to hold zebra skin and elephant bones in your hands.
With us, you will find three different types of accommodations: Cabins, tents, and houses. Our cozy cabins are situated near Tigerskoven and Ulveskoven. Here, you can sleep next to a large panoramic window that is 4 cm thick - the animals can't get much closer. Up to 6 people can sleep in our cabins. Our unique safari tents are located near the stunning Elefantsletten, the bustling Abeskoven, and the expansive Savannen. From the spacious terrace, you can enjoy your meals or evening coffee while watching the elephants or curious giraffes right outside. Up to 6 people can sleep in our tents. The atmospheric, historical houses offer a special overnight experience. You'll have a part of the park to yourself, where you can enjoy the quaint authentic cottages that once housed castle staff. The houses can accommodate up to 4 people.
